  • Desire? I would say not really. Very occasionally yes and fleeting.

But more it’s like missing a sense. Image all of your friends and family talk about how amazing chocolate tastes. But you were born without a sense of taste. Because people talking about the taste of chocolate are everywhere around you and you’ll never get to know what it tastes like, it bothers you on occasion. You never crave chocolate because you can’t taste anyway, but you’d just like to know what everyone tastes sometimes.

Except replace chocolate with sex/relationships. It’s a bit more significant than chocolate because essentially all forms of media prominently feature sex/relationship. It’s ubiquitous. And many people’s sense of life purpose comes from the outcome of that (children). And man the way people describe what an orgasm is like, it sounds like freaking heroin or something. I’d like to just once be able to experience something that powerful and pleasurable. Most of the time I live with it and am unbothered, but occasionally it leaves me feeling really left out and at some times not even the same species.

  • I feel this. Getting there myself. Part of the problem is that I can’t experience sexual pleasure and I have a hard time experiencing sexual attraction. But I really wish I could experience what those endorphins feel like even once! But even doing it myself, it doesn’t work that way.

To my knowledge, I don’t seem to have any physical abnormalities. I’ve been to the doc for a checkup before there. Nerves just must not be hooked up right or something.

Idk…I’ve found throughout the years that there are increasingly greater and greater amounts of long-form content available on YouTube to watch. Of late, I’ve watched some Louis Theroux documentaries, some documentaries on abandoned facilities, and some real A&E and ambulance emergency shows. There is a ton of interesting content on there if you look for it. I guess I just find the number of streaming services to be too staggering to bother with. So I go with free alternatives like YouTube with an ad blocker and things like PlutoTV and tubi.

  • It’s hell of a lot easier to commit a mass murder with an assault rifle over a pistol. People carrying assault rifles aren’t doing so for “self defense”. They do so for intimidation or to have the ability to kill a bunch of people at once. Sure, you can do it with a handgun, but it’s not anywhere remotely as quick and simple.

I am not pro gun, but it’s a hell of a lot more understandable for me to see a person carrying a handgun or having a shotgun at home for home defense as opposed to a weapon of mass murder.

As a physically small human who lives alone, I do sometimes get concerned for my safety travelling in certain areas. Or if I lived in a rough area, it honestly might be wise for me to keep one at home in the event of a break in. But I’m still never going to be the type to own one. I just find it a lot more reasonable in certain circumstances.

tl;dr - an assault rifle is literally made for killing large quantities of people at once; I’d hardly call that self defense outside of a war scenario

I’ve never done it myself, but there seem to be a couple of different reasons why it would be preferable over a standard hotel room.

    1. Easier and cheaper way to get a huge living space with a kitchen for a large group of people.

    2. The possibility of staying in a unique type of room that a hotel just can’t provide.

  • You were with me until the latter part. People aren’t hitting up a sit down restaurant when they want fast food because they want to get in and get out without having to leave their car.

I have a Chick Fil A literally a 2 minute walk from me. I go often because of convenience. I don’t have to wait in a long line in my car and because it’s one of the few fast food joints that offers healthier alternatives like grilled chicken nuggets, salads, fruit, sides of kale, etc. It’s not a common occurrence to have options like that at a fast food place. The Chick Fil A and Taco Bell are right next to each other, but I end up going to the Chick Fil A 9 times out of 10 over Taco Bell because of this.

I agree that it’s not worth going out of your way over. But it does have some big perks over other fast food joints.

My brother actually likes it there because they are one of the few fast food places that still have a play place for kids.

Edit: Huh, weird. I was trying to respond to the dude who said you should get a better sandwich from a bar instead.

I guess what my ramble was trying to say is that I didn’t even clock it as blackface because it’s so “poorly done” that it didn’t even come across that way until I read the comment and then stared at it in confusion. I’m not saying that it “doesn’t count if AI does it”, just that it’s a confusing photo.
