Lol this save also has a rectangle npc hotel. I typically build simple near spawn then build fun stuff around the map as I feel inspired / when I make pylons.

Talk to the guide (starting npc) for tips on what to do next, you can also give him things you find and he’ll tell you what you can craft with them. He’s like the in game wiki and can be very helpful. Also spend lots of time just exploring, and don’t be afrid to die.

When exploring make sure to collect any metals you see, and use them to building upgraded pickaxe and armor. Also build extra houses so you can have lots of npcs move in. I hope you have fun & definetly look things up online if you have questions :)

I’ve lived in and worked at a number of co-ops. I think they’re far better for the employee than traditional businesses when implemented in a democratic way. Having control over the workplace and direction of the business is incredibly valuable. It’s also important that the co-op members talk to and know eachother. Having lots of meetings and community building is very typical in this type of business.

Also the type of co-op I’m talking about also returns excess profits to the workers (often with a portion taken out to be put back into the business/saved for a rainy day). In this way they are way better than unions, which no matter how powerful do not fully redistribute profits.

I also think worker co-ops are functionally better than worker communes. Co-ops give much more economic freedom to the workers, and side step many of the pitfalls of live/work communes.

Though i don’t think rednote will actually take the place of tiktok, I think that’s mostly a protest migration & something else will take the top spot – if tiktok actually stays banned. I do think there’s a chance trump will choose not to enforce the ban in a meaningful way because he knows it will rally quite a few young and nieve voters into his camp (plus he’d probably get a hefty payoff).

Same! I think it is nice to have something developing that isn’t as overwhelmingly frightening as lots of the things in the works right now. Like this is high stakes and says alot about corruption in America, but like at least it’s not something that could potentially put me or my loved ones in harms way.

It’s going to be so interesting seeing how all of this plays out. Will meta succeed in reclaiming their market share? Will a new app take the throne? Will congress just keep banning any app that is too popular and not under the american oligarchys control? Will trump somehow leverage this into him being the one to save tiktok? Will loops UI ever be good enough to compete? Only time will tell.

I’m so sorry you went through such a terrible schooling environment. I work with neurodivergent kids and its so sad to see and hear about some of the ‘methods’ people think are appropriate. It’s truely heartbreaking knowing it’s not just you but an entire school of people who were systemically abused and further disenfranchised.

I hope you are able to find a way to heal and move forward in your life, i know how sticky trauma can be.

From what i remember, it has to do with the noise of flowing water. Bevers find the sound annoying and will cover it until it stops.

I remember a study where they played river noises from a speaker and the bevers covered the speakers with sticks – even in the absence of any water.

They can happen to anyone. Some hypothesis why they happen include: uv damage to skin, hormonal imbalences, malnourishment, and genetic factors.
