Me in SMT 5

I kind of like bad games, because they can be interesting or have intriguing gameplay designs. I’d go so far as to say I actually enjoy Shadow the Hedgehog 2005, its not good per say, but it has some charm to it, and I enjoy it most the time.

Boring games are far more offensive in my opinion. Like… I’ve tried. I’ve tried over and over to play and enjoy Fallout 4, a game my husband loves but… its so boring. The story is dull, the gameplay is basic, settlement building is so mindnumbing, the characters are bland, except Nick Valentine, mostly cuz of his design, and the atmosphere is so bog standard with this inconsistent cheeriness to it. It is so mindnumbingly boring and dull, I don’t know how people play it, with or without mods. Skyrim’s setting was cool, the gameplay was basic, sure, but the exploration was fun and I still got to do cool and silly things and it felt fine.

Another game is Majin Tensei for the SNES. Im a huge Megami Tensei fan. I like playing all the spinoffs, and i especially like the older first person dungeon crawlers. But Majin Tensei is like if Fire Emblem was drunk and slurred its speech so it had to talk ultra slowly for you to understand. It takes soooooo long to do anything.

Blade Runner for me. Great themes, great plot, great visuals and music, horrendously boring and plodding. 2049 was better imo.

My Elden Ring character

When a game rereleases with an enhanced version or remake and it ruins the atmosphere. Been playing SMT Strange Journey Redux, and the new artstyle feels so generic and bland compared to the OG Strange Journey. The original had this kind of dark and oppressive atmosphere that Redux is sort of missing. Its really minor, since Redux does add a ton of stuff, so its probably still the better way to play, but that original tone just isnt the same.

Absolute Batarang

While I typically dont mind most heroes having a costume that doubles as advanced armor or the like, such as Spidey or Batman (Tho i like when Spidey has more makeshift stuff,) I do prefer the more corny, fun look for Superman. As much as I like Absolute Superman, I do like his hopeful colorful look the most.

I don’t think they aren’t smart in a logical sense, I think its more of a lack of critical thinking and a focus on short term gains (which i would argue aren’t even that good lol)

Thats the thing! They most definitely are not! My dad has a degree in computer science, (never did anything with it) and my mom has a degree in … well accounting, but she is smart, I promise. I think they are just so incredibly gullible. You know that saying, its easy to trick someone with a lie but impossible to convince someone of the truth, or something like that. I think deep down, they know they are wrong, but they dont want to admit that they part of the problem.

I think their just trapped in a bubble of bad info and are influenced by racism subconsciously. I KNOW my parents aren’t bad people, but they sure as hell arent talking like good people or even well thought-out people.

I guess I just thought my parents were smarter, that they could see through this admins BS. They seriously claim that Trump is doing much better than Biden, but I talk to everyone I know, and they are all having money problems, food insecurity and housing problems, all being made worse under Trump.

I think my parents are just selfish. And it breaks my heart that they are betraying everything I thought I learned from them. I guess maybe they didnt influence me as much as I thought.

It was kind of funny though, because my husband was like, “Now you know how I feel.” At least they are a-okay with me and my husband, though, at this rate, I’m worried that wont be the case in a couple years.
