I still do from time to time, but they are about the slowest way to drink. If you’re very thirsty, you need to stay there for ages. I don’t think I’ve ever quenched a thirst at a drinking fountain. More like got a little more water to survive a bit longer.

I miss them, I used to use them to get my dog and myself water on walks. But a bunch of shortsighted politicians knocked em down during COVID. (Wasn’t enough to just disable them‽ 😬)
Nope. I still do. I’m lucky to be in a place with really good tap water so I’ll go straight from the bathroom sink when I’m at home.
Not really, my RO system takes the metallic taste out of my local water (heavy iron content) so I prefer to bring my own water and will begrudgingly use them if necessary.
