I don’t think I’ve ever met a Christian who lived even remotely by the commandments. That’s why they have that crazy-ass clause that you can repent and accept Jesus on your deathbed and go to heaven. They are all fake; most of the actual differences are in intent.
The commandments are in the OLD testament. There is a NEW testament now. It preaches… Well… See… The thing is, there is an even NEWER testament, and I’ll tell you all about what’s in it for about three fiddy.
Guy I know married a preacher’s daughter. He was ‘convinced’ to take an active role in the church. Jumped through all the hoops, did all the studying. Marriage kinda fell apart after a number of years but he was still in the church. At some point, the ‘inner circle’ stopped caring and started throwing around racism and bigotry behind closed doors, so he walked away. TBF the least corrupted church I ever attended was run by a Lesbian couple. Nicest people on the face of the earth. The congregation was pretty much of the mind that gay is fine, but there were still a number of people there questionable on race and other attributes.
Seems like there are just some evolutionary ties to exclusionism that humans are shit at getting past.

I’ve never met a Christian who even knew what all Ten Commandments were. It’s just a dog whistle.

Most are fake I agree. That’s why I left the church. I will say there are a few good ones, but IMO there are way more “Christians.”
