Ash didn’t really get to choose which hand he lost, so he had to make do.

I’ve always felt like you’d prefer for your non-dominant hand to become the chainsaw. that way you could still hold a pistol with your dominant hand. Ash didn’t really get to choose which hand he lost, so he had to make do.
