I am having a little fever with Ultima Underworld/King’s Field dungeon crawling, so I guess I am pulling the trigger on Monomyth and Lunacid xD

Kenshi has been on my list for a while. Every sale I go “this is the one. I’m gonna buy it” then never end up doing it. Spider-Man I have been wanting too as well, but it’s too pricey for me personally still and with Sony killing PC ports I’m more hesitant to buy it
- Withering Rooms - 2.5D horror roguelike in a procedurally generated victorian manor. I’ve only heard great things and it looks phenomenal and unique.
- The Drifter - Australian point and click with beautiful pixel art, a supposedly amazing story and some stellar voice acting.
- Death Howl - turn based strategy meets deckbuilder meets Soulslike!? Looks beautiful and interesting.
- Radiolight - Horror walking simulator that looks inspired by Firewatch and Alan Wake. Looks interesting.
- Seance of Blake Manor - Was a huge hit last year, I’m keen to try it. Agatha Christie simulator in a mysterious manor sounds good to me.
- Murders on the Yangtze River - Chinese Ace Attorney but more serious and less silly is what I’ve heard it described as. I’m intrigued.
Blake Manor is really good

Looking forward this as well.
Slay the spire 2 is tugging my sleeve but I’ve got a bit more iron to process and that’s already paid for
Just got Deathloop, but currently doing MonHuntWorld so it has to wait. Was anticipating iceborne to go on sales so i can jump on the DLC right away but Capcom didn’t have any game on sales so maybe that’s the next thing i’m gonna get.
I think I’m going to be picking up Screamer when it has its proper launch on Thursday. I’ve waited so long for a racing game like this to come out again. The only one I’ve had in the past 20 years was Trail Out. The Steam forums for this one are full of people asking who’s going to pay $60 for this when they can buy Forza Horizon, and the answer is me; I have no interest in Forza Horizon, but this is a racing game that speaks to people who don’t care at all about real world racing. Let me check people off the road. Make it over the top. Don’t bother with an open world. Screamer seems to be checking all of the boxes of what’s important for me in a racing game.
Esoteric Ebb.
I pirated it to check it out after hearing about it, played through once and can’t bring myself to play it again, even though I really want to, because it demands my money and trying to do another run on the pirated copy makes me feel dirty.
That one looks promising, but Disco Elysium is still in my backlog, so I’m gonna wait until the day I have the mood for an adventure game.
I’ve got a substantial existing backlog of owned games and am trying not to just jump on more things until I’ve worked through some of that.
Some things that I’d buy anyway:
-
If Kenshi 2 comes out anytime soon. My expectation is that that’s years out.
-
If something like Caves of Qud comes out. I already have some roguelikes to play.
-
Additional good DLC for some games that I have been playing, like Starfield. The Rimworld DLC has been worthwhile.
-
If something like Steel Division 2 with Wargame: Red Dragon’s modern setting came out. Steel Division 2 has reasonable game AI and good quality-of-life features, but I personally enjoy the newer setting of Wargame: Red Dragon. WARNO isn’t that — it’s much too fast-paced for me and has less unit variety, feels to me like mostly just directing a constant flood of units. Less of the intricate deck-building that characterized the earlier two titles.
-
If Fallout 5 came out anytime soon, which I am very confident will not happen.
EDIT: If someone successfully comes out with some game that can be plugged into a local LLM backend — it’ll probably be a game in a new genre, simple ruleset run by the game with its own logic that an LLM is smart enough to reasonably play and generate text description for — I’d be interested in giving that a shot. There are some developers experimenting with that sort of thing, but I don’t think that we’re really there technically. Might not be possible to do this effectively with current LLMs.
EDIT2: I’d also go for a Noita 2 or Noita DLC. There is some developer working on an unnamed game for what looks like a Noita-alike that I discovered a bit back, but it’s in early development, and I don’t know whether the actual gameplay will wind up getting the kind of appeal that Noita has. I imagine that one could get similar mechanics but have a game that isn’t as appealing.
Something like Qud is a tall order, Doors of Trithius is the only one I can think of. AI roguelite could be a fun thing to try xD

Ultima underworld is amazing! Did Majuular get you into it too?
Who’s Majuular?
Guy on youtube doing 1+ hour deep dives into every Ultima game. I think there’s only one left. Super interesting, talks about the history of the game studio etc. Highly recommend!
Well, If you give me a test of The History of Britannia, I will fail hard. xD
