The fact they’d say it out loud without understanding what that would entail is what would make me think they’re probably in the spectrum. I’m not saying they would be Machiavellian (if they’re saying it casually, because some YouTuber covered it this week and the “Dark Triad traits that make you irresistible!!!”, and without any convoluted reason for how this could help them reach their objectives, they simply couldn’t be), just comically socially inept to the point that a diagnosis might come in handy.

Without a lot more evidence, there’s nothing “probably” about this. Not every uncomfortable person is neurodivergent, sometimes people just suck.
