You absolutely do need to use the touchscreen to adjust wipers. You can turn them on using the button on the stem, but you cannot change the speed or turn them off without going through a menu on the touchscreen.
That’s great, glad they listened to people. That being said, undiscoverable features like this are hardly features at all. Trying to cram everything into one or two buttons is a fundamental UX no-no.
It looks like this was a prominent feature of their release notes, which would be useful to existing customers. I’m not sure whether it’s featured in their manuals, or if new owners go through that
For example, windshield wiper speed, seat warmers, front/rear defog, AC fan direction.
Ah, I to adjust wipers and defogging. I didn’t think about them.
You don’t need to use the touchscreen for the first one on a Tesla. I don’t think you can for the rest though.
