BlueSky post by user @hemlock.bsky.social that reads,

I am a transit maximalist. I believe that when a girl hornyposts from the other side of the country; I should be able to get on a maglev and arrive in her city before the prog is out of her system for no more than $40. All policy should bend to serve this goal.

What is unrealistic here is the target price, $40 for maglev to anywhere looks like a steal

Depends on where the horniness is coming from, if it’s from prog(esterone?) like the op said and it’s tied to hormonal cycles then you maybe got a day to get over there.

Yeah, surprisingly even at those speeds, you’re looking at over 4 hours from one side of the US to another.

which is 2 hours 20 minutes faster than flying from jfk to lax, and the prog has a half life of between 9-16 hours with peak levels between 1-8 hours so in theory you could take the train and still have 4-5 hours to romp

No, you misunderstand. It is literally impossible, with current technology, to achieve the desired metric because of the sheer size of some countries.

Even if you somehow managed to have a fleet of Blackbirds at your disposal for instant public transport, it would take well over an hour to reach one end of the US/Canada to the other, just as an example.

Ah, but ICBMs have a response time of 25 to 30 minutes. So we simply need to remove the warheads and replace them with horny people. This would have the additional benefit of advancing nuclear disarmament.

Of course there would need to be a way to safely decelerate the payload and land at the destination, but that’s just details.

Guess we need to make the technology more efficient then. Don’t you understand? This girl wants to fuck other girls.

Hawaii is a 10/11 hour flight from certain parts of the us.

Alaska is 11/12 hours to Florida, 14/15 to Puerto Rico.

Even if you don’t want to include those, it’s 6/7 hours from Seattle to Miami.

Yukon to Newfoundland is 6/7 hours.

These exclude boarding times and such.

Even if you went with current high speed trains, and exclude continental breaks between land masses, you’re talking about quite a few hours.

Good luck staying horny that long.

What part of “all policy should bend to serve this goal” did you not understand? We’re not done 'til we have $40 hypersonic suborbital flights, and if it takes a greater than Manhattan Project or Apollo level of effort to get there then, damn it, that’s what we’ll have to do!
