You do realize that hoping for the death of 4 billion people puts you up there with the worst people in history when it comes to your aspirations?

You do realize the issue is not the billions of people occupying the planet, but the handful controlling the wealth those people create, do you not? If the business interests of the richest people on Earth weren’t a factor in decision-making, we could do much better with our 8 billion.

There would be so much less traffic on my way to work! I bet the lines at theme parks would be a lot shorter, too. Probably wouldn’t be a housing crisis anymore.

Only downside is, you know, half of the population of the entire planet dying painfully and the survivors guilt their families would feel after having to watch it. And cheering it on is like, unfathomably cruel. But those are just details.

Thats not gonna happen but to be sustainable it woul have to be way lower. When we first started overshooting what the earth could provide in 1970 we where a bit less than that and we have decimated so much we need to have actual healing take place. We honestly should keep it at a billion and get away from the whole factory farming thing. The fertilizer from oil was in the early 1900’s and we were below 2 billion at that point.
