So I saw political compass memes a while ago and started making one, but then I started taking it too seriously and eventually turned it into a tier list. Idk if it makes sense to share it here, but idk where else to share such a thing. I also made a browser tier list, but idk where to share that either.
This whole thing is a png export of a pure svg image. For some of the logos, I had to make them either from scratch or by using gimp and inkscape to convert a png into an svg (imperfect but good enough).
Hopefully this is all formatted properly.

Nice list. I wanna comment, that it’s questionable whether Chimera Linux, EasyOS, Kicksecure and Secureblue genuinely offer enhanced security over the major distros. I guess it depends on ones thread model…
I’m just a user, not a dev, so idk besides what I’ve read. I know that Whonix is based on Kicksecure and seems to be designed to secure Debian as best as can reasonably be done. I do love qubes-whonix, so I figure Kicksecure is a reasonably secure option. Chimera looks to be an interesting blend of ideas and things while being an independent distro capable of forging its own path, and it seems to have security in mind. EasyOS seems like a Puppy Linux meant for optimized security while maintaining minimalism. Secureblue has optimized security as its goal. That’s all just from what I’ve read about these distros. Those in particular are new/new-ish concepts for maximizing security in the linux space, and they all seem to be reasonable options.
For me, I continue to see Qubes OS as the ultimate secure operating system, and idk how anything else can come close in terms of security, with qubes-whonix being the absolute best combination. I do think it’d be better to eventually shift away from reliance on systemd, and it’d be nice if dom0 could be based on something like Alpine Linux instead of Fedora. It would also be nice to have something like Whonix based on something like Alpine Linux as well. Security-oriented minimal distros are really nice.
