It’s kinda annoying opening the community and seeing posts made only by a single person bot that posts so much that actually genuine content get suffucated, i think we all know who i talk about (if not, it’s Sanitation), they don’t even link the original post (which i know it’s not obbligatory but cmon…!) I can block them though so it’s only mildly infuriating, though, it makes genuine posters have less comments (and so discussion)
Please, if you are a mod and read this, i ask to take action and if you are not a mod, please feel free to discuss about that with me and everyone else

      Why am I cross-posting .ml content?

      I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to help vitalize non-.ml comms and make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don’t want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some active niche comms.

      And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can’t even put them all here because this comment would be really long.

      I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

      On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like “Lemmy? Isn’t that the place with a bunch of tankies?” Or “Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left”. The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

      cm0002 was awhile back from my perspective but I have blocked many many of his alts. It was a guy with a thing in his craw for “tankies” and he felt the best way to express it was to make posts in .world that were copies of ones from .ml in order to suppress .ml I guess. I would not have realized but I was posting devils panties to a .ml comics thing and he was doing it and it kinda was annoying me as in my own feed I would see his over mine because I read by most recent. Basically within an hour he would repost. I thought he was a bot but talked with him. Here is the think I was like. Well if you will post devils panties every day I can just stop and just see it in your posts. he was like no. so basically he would only do it for his repost mission but would not make a point of doing it himself to add content to the fediverse. it was kinda funny because I started posting in various other ways and got it to the point where I would post just text saying hey todays devils panties was real fun because or whatnot. He would post with the url and everything even though that was not in my post. so he would do all the work if I posted. If I did not post anything though then he would not post. At that point it was. Wow. This guy just has mental problems.
