      I wanna make one those floating tables that works on this weird science.

      I could buy one, but I want to make one to better understand how it works because I just can’t wrap my head around written or verbal explanations.

        The outer chains are purely for stability of the top. The center one holds all weight.

          Not completely right. The middle can just be a piece of chain as well, but it needs to be under tension. Steve Mould explains it very well in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0onncd0_0-o
