Just look at the backlash to the Switch 2 game prices only for it to become one of the best selling systems day 1. Then there’s the outrage over Pokemon Sword and Shield cutting tons of Pokemon and the lackluster visuals only for them to be some of the best selling Pokemon games.
I wonder if they’re aware how their aggressive copyright stance is making them be perceived, or if they just don’t care.

Whatever PR value they lose is nowhere near the amount of value they think they will retain.
