I think they do more checks in the beginning, or if you missed to scan something as the system probably sees you as more or a “risc”. I can understand your frustration though

I know some stores mix self scanning and self checkout, usually they’re in the same exit area, or even at the same terminal
You people don’t have self scanning? Pick a barcode scanner at the entrance, scan everything when you put it in your bags in the cart, and just pay at the exit and walk out (unless you get a semi-rare random check). One of the favorite features of the store I use is that I fill the shopping list at home in the app (that can be shared with other accounts) and then I see the list in my phone or the store scanner, sorted by the order of sections in the store, so eg. all fruit and vegetables will be next on the list when I get to that section. I also like that you see your total in real time and the scanner reminds you if there’s a “3 for 2” or other offers.
Especially when you read left to right so the “punchline” should be on the right I think.
Hey neighbor! Sweden too, need a few weeks to find that one sunny summer day
She did get her research team after all :)
I tried this on the train while commuting a few times and one time I missed my stop and had to take another train back because I was hyperfocused in the story lol. If I do this I must boost the speed on the audiobook quite a bit so it matches my reading speed, otherwise I get impatient waiting for the audio to catch up. If I listen to only audio I mostly listen to normal speed to not miss stuff though
He did speak out against Audible though, but mentioned he was afraid of making him an enemy of Amazon.

I run Bazzite on a 3070 and it works well. The thing that is not supported yet is the gaming mode that basically turns your pc into steam deck mode as far as I understand it. It would be cool since I run my pc on TV only and mainly game with a controller. What I do is run Steam on startup and set it to start in big screen mode. Until a few weeks ago I used Linux mint and that was much more work with drivers for controllers and stuff. Bazzite is so good so far, seems to be exaxcly my use case for a TV Linux gaming pc.
For many games you can set graphics rendering to for example 1080p but run the whole game in 4k so text, menues and so on are super crisp but the game still runs very light. But maybe it’s good advice to never even start because I can’t imagine going back to 1080p after using 2k and 4k screens
Why is this so accurate (even though I’ve tried many other distros and coffee makers)
It’s OK, you can write Pepsis on the internet
No, getting through to a doctor is harder than contacting a celebrity in my country. Cheap healthcare though…
