5·17 hours agoTemperature. People all “it’s too hot, I’m cold” just shut up and go outside already. You can swim, start a fire, get naked, nestle in some brush, there’s nothing to get worked up about. You’re a self-regulating biological process that can both sweat and turn cheese you ate a week ago into heat. Those are turtle problems.

5·2 days agoMy only real exposure is helping friends kids with their homework, and it really seemed like they were focused way more on shortcuts to correct answers for simple problems than how and why numbers interact. Which I guess is kinda what you’re saying! Imo those are great techniques for working at a higher level, but in no way a substitute for observing and understanding the processes that lead to those answers. You’ll get plenty of competent accountants that way, but you won’t inspire many mathematicians.

1·2 days agoSpecialized equipment and input kinda makes it a no go for me, but that’s super cool! Do you do direct burial or use it to heat up a heap? Right now I’ve pretty much got a mound of food scraps, sticks, and cardboard that eventually turns into something I can mix into a planter
