doubtful we can last that long under this system. if we moved onto something like what ferengis do, maybe.
I have a hard Time even imagining humans as we know it know lasting a million years. Plus evolution ass we know it is evolving. Like computer can become their own form of life, humans can bioengineers with crisper and make humans super specialized for various kinds of labor or animals more intelligent and suited for whatever labor we want.
Of course we can bioengineers soldiers to be aggressive and able to opposite mech suits.
Life can be a mixture of biological and mechanical.
I don’t know exactly how capitalism would fit in. Would it simply accelerate new traits being develop? Would computers that do a skynet have any use for capitalism? Would capitalism change humans to reject capitalism or accepting capitalism become ingrained at a genetic level?
Capitals just one of the many forms of centralization which is a core quality of the human condition. We centralize in groups and it gives us an advantage over any one individual.
Large ears, pointy teeth, and the development of something called “The Rules of Acquisition.”
Unionized mitochondria.
Theyre the powerhouses of cells, so why shoulnt they be the ones reaping the rewards of their labour?
Depression
Sociopathy
This is basically the plot of “The Mote in God’s Eye” by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
An incredibly enjoyable space romp about first contact, id highly recommend this one to anyone who is big on sci-fi books
Romp? That’s an interesting take. Kind of like whistling past the graveyard because the moral of the story for the motties (the civilization we contact) is basically that unchecked growth creates a cycle of unsustainable growth and apocalyptic collapse, which should be a familiar theme to anyone living through a capitalist dystopia.
I really like Niven and Pournelle individuallt, but the things they’ve collaborated on like this are even better.
Cancer resistance from the radiation
Stupidity
Social Darwinism mindset becomes endemic? That’s not exactly a bright future…
Constantly dream.
we’ve transcended our bodies at that point tbh.
Epigenetics research may answer some of this.
