Hiya guys!

So, I suddenly got into my paws a reasonably fresh Macbook Air with cracked screen. As my beloved got herself a replacement, I can play with this one )

It is used now as a kind of mediacenter connected to a tv, with Rii K06 keyboard acting as a unified remote (did not find anything better for the price, any suggestions?).

What would you recommend me doing with it to:

  • improve the mediacenter experience? As in is there a shell that can be used on top of macos to access numerous subs and media content with less hassle?
  • do something useful with its processing power outside media neeeds?

I am not too techy, but may be able to read and follow a decent guide. ) Also, never used mac stuff, so have no clue about its real capabilities.

    I don’t think that there’s a lot that I could recommend, because almost everything that you’d want to do would depend heavily on your particular situation.

    Note that you probably can get the display replaced for less than the cost of a new laptop, but it sounds like you guys already bought a new one, so…shrugs.
