      Yeah I’m also more of a Y-for-up-person, but I’m fine with either as long as you don’t use a left-hand-system

      this special came from a folder i copied off of someones hard drive (its a long story), but you are right.

      here is a more “correct” version, that also has the debris flying to the correct side of the screen :)

      Technically it could be whatever, it’s unknowable because the axis aren’t labeled in the original. By convention +y is usually up when graphing lines though. Godot has an X to the right and Y down coordinate system however, as well as apparently html and a lot of image editors

      I guess they did show for SpaceY an image of a rocket launching upwards, so that does suggest a Y up coordinate system relative to the screen. And it would normally be assumed that all images would have the same axis orientation

      I know. I want to edit this meme to say something about the bullshit, but I decided to stop studying math years ago and am woefully unprepared to make a competent math joke. My guess would be something involving Kesler syndrome and exponentially cascading space debris, but I don’t know what would describe that mathematically. Some sort of Markov chain to describe a cascading chain reaction?
