Yea we were told that “downgrading an OS wasn’t possible” (it’s totally possible) during the battery-draining update debacle. They bricked tons of phone, then we had a townhall where they self-congratulated on the fact they were making more money on repair than selling new phone.
My time there was more akin to a cult than to a job. Those people fucked each other, lived with each other, hang out with each other and think they’re superior being.
Also they’re literally spying on people.
I was at headquarters. Cool if you had a good experience, im not saying workers are bad and we all have bills to pay. But the company itself. I’d rather not work for them ever again nor use their shit.
and then they bricked all older devices in Australia, because some providers are lazy.
instead of forcing the providers to stop being lazy…they bricked devices so they can’t use 4g networks and you have to buy a new iPhone…
this is not a isolated issue…
my iPad, that I rarely use and sits off 98% of the time. the battery health doesn’t degrade, but the performance and battery life does with every update…

In my store all the people on the Genius Bar were just nerds and not really fan boys. The sales staff however many of them were fan boys of Apple.
