Net just means “clean” in french. Fun fact: that brand is called “Mr. Propre” in France, “propre” being another translation of clean, despite “Mr.” meaning “mister” and not “monsieur”. Thus the Canadian one is the better translation
Eh. Still closer than in Germany where he’s “Meister Proper”. “Meister” translates to “master” and while “proper” does carry vague connotations of cleanness, it’s more akin to “neat” or “tidy”. Master Neat disapproves of your untidy floors!
The thing I remember about Germany is that it’s actually relatively safe to accept a “handy” there.
But I can only imagine the hilarity when a German is abroad and seeking to purchace a mobile phone :)
