Regan gets a lot of crap because corporations exploded during his term.
But Nixon was the precursor and far worse in my mind. The 70s were far worse for a lot of reasons. LBJ definitely did his part leading up to Nixon. But all of it can mostly be tracked back to FDR laying the groundwork.
But yeah, Nixon is a stand out star of the list.

I would argue that Nixon’s pardon made future politicians a lot bolder with their crimes.
