It annoys me that the delivery bots are right in the middle of the sidewalk. I want them to scurry out of my way in fear. I reserve the right to kick over robots that are placed in my way… get your shit out of the way of pedestrians. The sidewalk is for people, not free real estate for someone else’s profits.

What? It’s their explicit decision and risk to get into the car. Including acknowledging all the risk for themselves and others.

That’s like strapping a bomb to yourself, exploding and then being the victim because you didn’t know you’re in a deadly situation.

You did know. If you didn’t, you shouldn’t be allowed to do previously said thing.

People who believe (because they’ve been lead to believe) that driverless cars are safe still have a right to live without injury. Being credulous or fooled doesn’t remove your rights.

One of those food delivery RC cars ran right into me the other day. I wasn’t hurt, but it didn’t feel great.

They dont go very fast so im getting this mental image of someone spotting one way off down the street coming towards them and just standing there watching…and watching…and watching until if finally reaches them and runs into them. Then the bot and person just being like >:(

Lol came around the corner. I could’ve probably avoided it, but I thought they had sensors built in so it’d have to stop. Doesn’t always work reliably I found out the hard way.

This comic really confused me at first because I couldn’t make out what that first item was and because there are no motion lines. Reading OP’s caption clarified things for me.

I didn’t know what it was at all until I came to the comments. I just thought, “Why is there a random cooler rolling around? Did somebody lose it?”

Ah, can’t wait to look back on this comment a few years from now and slowly shake my head at how naive I was…

I passed by one of those delivery bots in LA and it was named “Edgar.” So cute☺️ Also those things must be built like tanks cuz I’m sure people try to fuck em up and rob them.

That looks like a Crosstrek at the end. Is Subaru working on self-driving cars? Maybe this really is the reality of the future.

That makes complete sense and I can see it. However I still stand by the body of the vehicle in the sketch looking more like a Crosstrek. I bought one for my wife but we had a situation where we needed to switch cars for the last year, so I’ve been looking at one a lot more recently.
