There is a movie with Margo Robbie called Terminal. The reason I know this is because if you type “terminal” into the Start Menu of a fresh copy of Windows 11, it’s the first result.

I typed in “o” or “oz” in the win11 start menu to search for an app. Instead, the menu gave me internet results, with the first one being “ozempic”… This was on my work machine, lol.

This behavior by the OS was exactly what finally made me permanently switch to Linux a few years back. (I understand that’s generally not an option on a work machine.)

          edit: Correct typo.

Not even surprised. You will probably get snippets from bing there in the future, taking up most of the space, along with an ad, and your programs are tiny pixels at the bottom you cant even see.

One day we’ll have AI agents who will borrow your bank details, buy and download a digital copy for you, then play it it the start menu… All in a split second.

Unless you pay a daily subscription fee to prevent it.

I dont know how people tolerate it. I find it a bit much getting my own file contents picked up by GNOME.
