    A couple of weeks ago I sprained my thumb going for a winter bike ride without proper tires. The old me would’ve just decayed in front of a computer screen and not gotten hurt, but this new me is way better

    Laziness also generally leads to smarter solutions. Motivated people climbed mountains while lazy people were inventing the helicopter.

      There was an anecdote from Steve Jobs about that yeas ago, that he preferred lazy people to work for Apple since they always worked out the best/fastest way to do a problem so they could get back to being lazy.

      Helicopters require like 10 hours of maintenance for every flight hour, seems like the lazy solution is just to climb the mountain.

        No, you see: The lazy people are going to be the eventual passengers. Piloting and maintenance are going to be handled by the motivated ones.

    I could make a killing just selling off ideas and inventions if I put the effort to jotting the documentation and making the blueprints. All the while these smart people used trial and error and sometimes accidents to make up their shit.
