I laughed and then was surprised by the comments. Damn, tough crowd. I didn’t think OJ jokes would still be so touchy in 2026.

Using a murdered woman as a joke, didn’t think Linux users had bad taste. Maybe I should stay on windows.

Or, hear me out, the joke draws attention to an overprivileged murderer who has thus far avoided justice (which is cool and good)

I believe he was acquitted in the criminal trial.

Anyway, it is your god-given right to choose your operating system based on this image and I support whatever decision you make.

Ngl, my sense of humor runs dark as fuck, so I got a laugh out of this.

Which might piss people off, but IDGAF. I’ve had brains on my hands before, I no longer have to GAF about others’ opinions of my humor

I have a problem with dark humor only online. I live in a society where almost anything can be joked about. I fall on the ground -> I laugh, 3 of computers I tried to start for an exam fail and lose me exam time -> I laugh, my dog falls from 8th floor from balcony… it takes some time but I end up laughing about it. Heck I even laughed about getting molested as a kid though years later. Joke is only bad when it makes the person in question feel bad and she is fucking dead. Are we supposed to avoid a sensitive topic because ~10 people could feel bad? When people make jokes while they starve to death is it improper, because it can sadden their neighbors? Joking is a way to cope with sorrow with different ceilings across cultures. When in Rome do as Romans say and in middle space (internet) shut the fuck up (not the author of the comment I am replying to) and tolerate each other.

2. Be civil
  • Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
  • Do not harrass or attack users for any reason. This includes using blanket terms, like “every user of thing”.
  • Don’t get baited into back-and-forth insults. We are not animals.
  • Leave remarks of “peasantry” to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.
  • Bigotry will not be tolerated.
3. Post Linux-related content
  • Including Unix and BSD.
  • Non-Linux content is acceptable as long as it makes a reference to Linux. For example, the poorly made mockery of sudo in Windows.
  • No porn, no politics, no trolling or ragebaiting.
  • Don’t come looking for advice, this is not the right community.
