What gets me is when people think it’s weird being so aggressively anti ad, anti AI, anti account for everything, anti everything’s got a fucking all these days, etc. and treat this stuff as normal or somehow sane. Sometimes it feels like I’m losing my damn mind, man!

    OP could have just posted a pic, but instead they posted an irrationally long gif/vid of someone showing the text one sentence at a time. Narrated or not, this is Nevada desert temperature hot garbage and OP should be shamed for being such a tool kit.

    This could have been an email vibes abound.

    I feel like the only person here who actually thought the voiceover and music presentation was hilarious. I do agree that the full text should have been added for accessibility, though.

    Well yeah, but posting just a text or at least a picture would have been slightly better.

    Though i completely agree, it sucks.

    I can’t even watch random videos some friends send me from time to time because it soft forces to make an account and download said social medias app. I’ve literally said to multiple friends that there’s no point to send funny videos from some places as i cant watch those anymore.

    As someone who was a teenager when home computers with Internet were starting to get popular, I can tell you something similar occurred and we semi fixed it. So I’m hopeful for that too.

    Popups.

    They would be all over even if you weren’t on the browser.

    It could make the computer unusable.

    But then ad blockers came out. And virus protector software.

    And it’s true that the advertising-virus of the internet mutated.

    But then we got u blocker .

    And I think there is a demand for better blocking and I’m hoping someone out there finds solutions.

    Legislation would be most helpful but I’m not counting on that any time soon.
