For me it was my ex. Gaslit the shit out of everyone. When I tried talking about it with friends the ol’ “that doesn’t sound like her”. Felt so alone. Escaped her abuse eventually. Hope you’re safe 🙏

I know it was 9 hours ago but I’ve had multiple exs in the past that Gaslit the fuck out of me and everyone else. My own family thought for the longest time when I would bring up the problems™ I would get the similar “that doesn’t sound like something she would do” :/ the past few years I’ve lucked into a very healthy polycule tho.

Hey, can I get a fist bump for a hat trick? 😅🥲😅

On a brighter note, through hard work in therapy, I’ve recently come to realize that all but one of my past relationships have been with partners resembling my mother in behavior/abuse. All the while, I’ve been keen to avoid the same from dad-like sources, but blind to raptor hiding in the shadows. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Whenever I hear people say something like that, I try to remind people, no one sees all sides of someone, especially how they are in private with other people.
