The top bed is from the S21 torture camp / prison in Cambodia, where people were tortured before killed at the killing fields. That bed was found with a man tortured to death on it when the Kmer Rouge regime fell. It is left there as a reminder of the horrible cruelties that happened there. It’s not supposed to be photographed in the first place. I wouldn’t use it in a meme, out of respect.
S21 is now the genocide museum of Cambodia. https://tuolsleng.gov.kh/en/

Please use a different host to imgur (eg, Lemmy itself), that doesn’t block the UK.
I don’t like imgur but I also would feel about punishing them for making the better of two choices.
That middle bed is sexy as fuck so I bet it’s about twenty grand.
Need better teachers, I wouldn’t fall asleep to numberphile explaining things
I love me a good math lecture. (ok well, good ones, like 3blue1brown videos)
It reminds me of listening to fantastical stories as a child that I can barely fathom the results of, let alone the journey. I know I’m hearing very important and profound things, but for the life of me the depth passes me by. Like doggy paddling around the deep end of a pool without even realizing I couldn’t touch the bottom if I tried.
Is that top picture a bed from S21 in Cambodia? I feel like ive been in that exact room but maybe not because I remember there being a lot more dried blood on the floor.
… …what?
The Khmer Rouge renamed the complex “Security Prison 21” (S-21) and construction began to adapt the prison for the inmates: the buildings were enclosed in electrified barbed wire, the classrooms converted into tiny prison and torture chambers, and all windows were covered with iron bars and barbed wire to prevent escapes and suicides.
How soon until the wedding? (Based on the stipulation that the phrase “if you love it so much, why don’t you marry it?” is still true)
