That warning icon’s making me lean towards slop.

Consent-o-matic allows me to access the contents without accepting your policies. Win for me

Not sure if what I use is better, but I just use the optional cookie filter lists on Ublock Origin.

Consent-o-matic will actively reject cookies while most cookie filters hide the UI element or just presses OK.

They’re going to get blocked anyway by uBlock Origin if it blocks their scripts

Advertisers are like rapists. You not saying no means yes to them.

That filter doesn’t reject cookies. It just stops you from seeing the pop-up from my understanding.

Which is meant to be the same as a rejection. If they have correctly implemented it is another thing.

Yeah, so I disabled those filters in uBlock Origin. I’d rather be annoyed by the pop-up and know I rejected what I could instead of being unsure.

That’s actually a pretty genius product idea.

There’s a fundamental dichotomy here: the more I browse the web, the more cookies I end up with - not really what happens when I eat cookies.

I just have my browser delete all cookies whenever i close it - works the same way as with real cookies

I only close by browser for updates, so I use Cookie AutoDelete which removes cookies when the tab is closed. That said, I still instinctively reject cookies when given the option.

I was just speaking in a general sense. I effectively do the same by using Firefox Focus/Klar on Android (with an ad-blocker “VPN”) for much of my unimportant reading.
