Be prepared for the fact that you may be forced to switch to special electronic money from the government. This may happen in countries that have problems with food… Yes, you may not believe me, but those who have already experienced these attempts to ban cash will understand. :3

This sentence would seriously benefit from a pair of S’s. The worlds governments are trying to take absolute control. The world government is a boogeyman for nutjob conspiracy theorists.

I use the name “world government” because it’s more convenient for me, but who it is, I have no idea. It could be two or three factions at odds with each other.

        Convenient?

World government does not exist. Imagine getting multiple countries to agree on sth.

The governments of the world are doing the same thing independently of each other. Also this little differentiation is important.

Yes, unfortunately, I don’t know much about this topic, the only thing I know is that they want to make dependent slaves out of us, and when we become unnecessary, they will get rid of us with wars or poisoned food that causes oncology.

Well, and also that they need power for the sake of even more power.

        two or three factions

That‘s exactly what @Sabin10@lemmy.world meant by “nutjob conspiracy”. It‘s just the countries‘ governments having a hard on for 1984 style control over public discourse.

I have to say the excuse that parents are too good damned stupid to turn on child lock on kids devices to lock down the Internet is infuriating.

Parents should be insulted. The childless should be insulted.

          Yeah, I know

It’s funny the whole world decides at once this needs to get locked down.

I value my privacy and freedom, I’m outraged

AFAIK, everybody is insulted by it. How would one know anyway? Look at the heavily censored social media?

There was that one opinion poll where they went around asking everyone if they approve of keeping children safe.
