OK then.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. This is giving the false mentality that you aren’t being tracked/your data isn’t there. Like obviously they process data, and can link that data to a person, and its all public anyway. To say that they aren’t tracking you isn’t genuine. I think it would be better off saying “We don’t analyze your data” because they definitely track your data, that’s how the service works. if they didn’t then the service wouldn’t be able to properly function, but I digress.
Piefed does know in what communities you posted, which posts you liked, under which posts you commented etc. There could easily be a Piefed (or Lemmy) wrapped. The data is public so you don’t even need to be signed into an account to get its relevant data
RIght, but the point is, that’s beyond the scope of what Piefed is interested in. It’s not going to take that step down that road. I like it.
Honestly someone should code this up using public data, just to show that just because you’re on the fediverse doesn’t mean you’re private or secure.
I’m sure this could only end well…

There are numerous tools that do exactly this and have existed for years.
Could make a fun little game out of showing someone’s posting data (e.g. number of posts per community, number of comments per day, etc.) but without the username, and let us try to guess who it is.
Didn’t this exist for Lemmy already?

Honestly I feel like you COULD make some graphs - after all, much of the data is public, like how many posts, how many comments, which communites you’ve been part of, probably even with who’m you interacted most etc.
But then again, that’s a lot of effort for a community-ran project. But I honestly think it could be fun for next year. Maybe I’ll whip something up.
