for reference it’s “borgare” in swedish, which is satisfyingly similar (granted it’s the same fucking word so yeah)I love hearing about the evolution of languages. a third of the shorts I see on YouTube are etymology types and it’s been so fun learning how stuff changes over time, where words come from. its so cool and really shows how language is designed to be a fluid construct
