It depends on what we’re doing and where we’re going. If it’s something quick or I’m going to be busy while I’m there, then I’ll just take a pair of headphones and two of my android devices, one to listen to music on the way there and back, and another to play games while I’m there if I can. If we’re going to be gone for a while, I’ll take all of my android devices, my controller, a keyboard and mouse, my tablet stand, and some USB cables and adapters. I would take some other devices, but for right now, android devices are the only portable devices I have that I actively use.

Keys, wallet, phone, pick set (licensed locksmith and it comes in handy), pocket knife. Usually leave the last 2 at home if I am planning on going to anything with security checks.

Well sometimes nothing if I am with my husband, that is so awesome. But if it’s just me - keys and phone are my usual gear, phone can pay for stuff. Bike lock if I am on the bike; purse with all my purse stuff if I’m driving the car.

Stuff in my purse is wallet with ID and cards, vitamins and medicines, hair stuff and lip balm, sunscreen, a Rubik’s Cube, a crow whistle and dice, glasses cleaner and sometimes sunglasses.

      a Rubik’s Cube

How fast is your fastest? I done the 3x3 in like within 60 seconds, nothing even close to the 5-second that pros get.

I suck at it, lucky to solve it at any speed - my penultimate kid is fast though, like you under a minute. Just like to have some analog toys in my bag.

My purse has all sorts of things in it. The most useful are the pen light, stubby multi-bit driver, utility knife, and multi-bit electronics driver. That with chargers, and usb cables (A, C, and micro).

Of course that is in addition to what one would typically find in a ladies’ purse. I also have my nicotine products in there.

Every few weeks I sort through what is in there. It’s too bad that it is not really socially acceptable for cishet guys to have a European carry-all.

I carry like $2 in change in my right front pocket, and have for as long as I can remember. I cannot leave the house without it anymore - it feels like something is wrong. I also would struggle to tell you the last time I ever NEEDED physical change. It’s more of a novelty than anything at this point, but it’s part of my routine.

Keys, phone, wallet. Watch if needing to know the time is relevant on my trip.

    I’m a simple man.

I may trim the wallet down. It’s not a Costanza, but I’m not using half of what’s in there. I don’t trust Samsung/Google/apple pay, so I’m still lugging the card around; but honestly that and my driver license and health ID card is all I really need, and I understand those flicky card case things. Toss a chipolo card thing in there since I leave everything everywhere, and I’m done.

I’ve replaced it with a death grip on my will to live and a sardonic attitude toward all the bullshit I’ll have to deal with while I’m at work. It’s the only way to make it through and still have a functioning liver.
